How to share your itinerary with friends

One shared plan beats ten message threads. Here’s how to invite companions to your TripMate trip.

Option 1: Invite link

In the TripMate app, open your trip and tap Share. Send the link by iMessage, WhatsApp or email. When friends tap it, they land on tripmate.au/join and can open the iOS app or join on web.

Option 2: Trip code

Share the short code shown in the app. Friends enter it on the join page or inside TripMate under “Join trip”. Useful when links are awkward in group chats.

Option 3: Web access

Companions can sign in at tripmate.au/login with their own account after accepting an invite — handy on desktop.

What friends see

Everyone on the trip views the same timeline, map and bookings. When you import a new hotel confirmation, the whole group sees the update.

Is joining free?

Yes. Creating and joining shared trips is free. Friends only pay if they buy their own AI credits for analysis or email import.
